Member News | The groundbreaking ceremony for the project of our association’s executive vice president unit, Guangxi Smpllo Bicycle Industry Co., Ltd., was successfully held.

On the morning of June 24, the groundbreaking ceremony for the project—featuring an annual production capacity of 100,000 two-wheeled electric vehicles and the annual recycling of 30,000 tons of waste batteries—was grandly held at the China-ASEAN New Energy Electric Vehicle Production Base, hosted by Guangxi Smpllo Bicycle Industry Co., Ltd., a standing vice-president unit of our association. Qian Zhen, executive president of our association, and Zhou Zhou, deputy secretary-general, attended the ceremony.

Groundbreaking Ceremony Venue

At the ceremony, Chen Jinxiu, a second-level inspector of Guigang City, Chen Cunxiang, deputy secretary of the Gangbei District Committee of Guigang City, and other leaders along with heads of relevant departments, as well as Jing Rui, chairman of Guangxi Smpllo Bicycle Industry Co., Ltd., and other company executives and industry peers, were in attendance.

Jing Rui stated that the project will establish a 5G‑enabled smart factory capable of producing 100,000 two‑wheel electric vehicles annually and recycling 30,000 tons of spent batteries each year, with the potential to expand in later phases into a production base with an annual capacity of 500,000 electric vehicles. The successful launch and commencement of construction will further strengthen the industrial chain, meet public demand, and hold profound significance for the high‑quality development of Guangxi’s electric‑vehicle sector. At the same time, it will inject stronger momentum and provide more robust support for building Guigang’s economic and industrial infrastructure.

Qian Zhen stated that Smpllo has demonstrated a spirit of striving forward—starting with a decisive battle and sprinting from the outset—accelerating at an impressive pace and embodying a vibrant, energetic ethos. The association will continue to uphold the principles of quality first, service paramount, and win-win cooperation, fully supporting the construction and development of the Smpllo project, jointly addressing challenges, and seizing opportunities together.

Chen Cunxiang stated that Gangbei District will steadfastly uphold the principles of valuing, supporting, and respecting business, striving to create a high‑quality environment conducive to project development. All efforts will be centered on projects, dedicated to serving them, and prioritizing their progress, thereby vigorously advancing project implementation. He expressed the hope that project owners and construction entities will adopt reverse scheduling, implement visual management, pursue high‑standard construction, ensure efficient progress, and deliver completed projects of the highest quality, turning today’s initiatives into world‑class undertakings.

With a strong sense of responsibility and urgency, they must ensure the project commences smoothly and enters production swiftly.
